HakaSafe Terms of Use
This English translation is provided for convenience. The Traditional Chinese version is the original; if the two differ, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
Provider: HakaSafe (developer: Fang Wei Hsu; "we", "us"), email: hakasafe.ledger@gmail.com
By using HakaSafe you agree to these terms. HakaSafe is provided through Apple's App Store; purchases, payments and refunds between you and Apple are also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and its Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
1. The service
- HakaSafe is an expense-tracking app. Your ledgers are stored in your own iCloud, and group ledgers in their owner's iCloud; our servers do not keep ledger data.
- The free version lets you use 1 personal ledger and 1 group ledger at a time (ledgers you created and ledgers you joined count together), with the on-device model.
- HakaSafe Plus offers unlimited ledgers, instant notifications when members add entries, and cloud model categorization with web search.
2. Subscriptions
- HakaSafe Plus is available as a monthly or a yearly subscription, bought on the App Store and paid through your Apple Account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
- A first subscription may include a free trial; when the trial ends you are charged automatically at the price shown at that time. To avoid being charged, turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the trial ends; if you cancel later, that period is charged as usual.
- Subscriptions can be shared with family members through Apple's Family Sharing; the fair-use limits apply to each member separately.
3. Plus Lifetime (Mega Supporter)
- Plus Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that includes every Plus feature. It is for the purchasing Apple Account only and is not available through Family Sharing.
- "Lifetime" means for as long as HakaSafe is operated.
- Plus Lifetime may also be obtained with Apple offer codes; codes are issued by the App Store and can only be redeemed before they expire, and a Plus Lifetime obtained this way does not expire.
4. Fair-use limits
- Cloud model categorization and web search have monthly limits; the limits are the ones shown under "Usage this month" in the app. Beyond them, the on-device model is used for the rest of the month; recording entries is not affected.
- We may adjust these limits as our operating costs change and will announce changes in the app; if you don't agree, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
5. Third-party services
- The cloud model, web search and instant notifications depend on third-party services. If a third-party service is interrupted or changes, these features may be temporarily unavailable or work differently; recording entries, syncing and the on-device model are not affected.
- Keys you enter under "Connect your own services" belong to your accounts with those third parties and are subject to their terms; HakaSafe does not sell or resell these services.
6. When Plus ends
- When a subscription expires, is refunded, or Family Sharing stops, ledgers beyond the free version's limit become read-only: you can still view, export and settle them, and move entries into a ledger in use. No data is deleted. Subscribing again restores them immediately.
7. Refunds
- All refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. After a refund, the Plus features of that purchase stop.
8. Disclaimer
- HakaSafe is provided as is. AI categories and exchange rates are suggestions only; please check amounts and categories yourself. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from the use of HakaSafe.
9. Contact us
- Email us at hakasafe.ledger@gmail.com, or use the "App Support" link on HakaSafe's App Store page.
10. Changes and governing law
- We will announce material changes to these terms in the app; continuing to use HakaSafe after a change means you accept the new terms. Changes to the fair-use limits follow section 4.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and the Taiwan Taipei District Court has jurisdiction in the first instance over disputes arising from them, without affecting the rights consumers have under the law.
